Sindabezi Island Lodge, Zambia

Sindabezi Island is a  romantic , exclusive camp set on its very own private island on the Zambezi River. It is the ultimate luxury eco bush camp from where Victoria Falls can comfortably be explored.

The lodge has only five open-sided thatched cottages sitting directly on the river amongst the trees, allowing guests to soak up the sights and sounds of the African bush in a perfect, pristine setting. Views across the flood plains of the Zambezi and into the nearby national park complete the scene. Expect to see hippos and elephants and if you are lucky hear lions roar all from the comfort of your very own deck.

You can expect to enjoy all these activities which are included at Sindabezi: a sunrise and sunset boat trip on the Zambezi; a guided canoe trip; lunch on a local island with a guided walk; fishing to your heart’s content; visit Victoria Falls; game watch in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya Park; visit a local village by mountain bike; shop at local craft markets; walk below the Falls in a gorge. Of course the best part is returning to the peace and tranquility at Sindabezi as you watch the sunset play over the water.

During April- September a special event called the lunar rainbow over Victoria Falls can be experienced during the three nights around the full moon. Contact us to check on the best dates to witness this magical spectacle.
